Jake Smith attended the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2013. Before graduating, he got various comic work in Albatross Funnybooks' children's horror anthology, "Spook House". He successfully crowdfunded his first original comic book "This Off Beat Town" in 2016. It was then published by Devil's Due Publishing. After that he got to work on the book he's been working on the last few years, "Blood Force Trauma," which is being released by Dark Horse Comics in 2023. This past year he also completed a Dark Horse graphic novel with Kyle Strahm called "Into Radness." He has done various pin-ups and covers as well. He did the Issue 3 variant cover for Image Comics' "Do A Powerbomb", and "Leviathan", as well as a cover for IDW Publishing's "TMNT: Universe." He also has work in Heavy Metal Magazine.

He loves kickin' it with buddies and playing Street Fighter, watching All Elite Wrestling, and reading comics.
